Lindt Outlet Boutique

With  Easter around the corner you may want to get discounts for high end chocolates you will need to buy for all those kids (and grown ups).  I have been to the Etobicoke location and have been pleased with the service, samples (yummy), and prices.  Being a chocoholic I buy chocolates after the occasion for them is over and indulge (eg Valentines chocolates are on clearance now).

Linen Warehouse Sale

Although the Secret Heart Sale is over there is still 10% off every day with the attached coupon (coupon not needed on Wednesday).  They sell kitchen, bed and bath linens, drapery and hardware, pillows and bath accessories at a fraction of the retail cost.

Mattel Toy Outlet - Mississauga

This is an amazing sale for those expecting or with newborns.  Or if you need to buy gifts for kids.

The prices in the outlet are already heavily discounted in comparison to what you would spend at Toys R Us.  I highly recommend going when they offer 40% off and on their toy blowout sales dates (from history it has always been 40% off their already low prices).  Plus if you spend $75 or more you get $10 off your purchase with the coupon on the attached flyer. I found that I could buy items brand new in package for less than what I would have paid for re-sale on kijiji and craigslist, plus I could undercut the others when selling my used items as I could afford to let them go for what I paid for them.

Items I have seen at the outlet; large baby items (swings, highchairs, bouncers), small baby items (bathtubs, mobiles), girl toys (Barbie, Dora, Polly Pockets), boy toys (Mattel cars, Diego), motorized kids vehicles (note that I have never seen these for more than 25% off their price).  Please keep in mind that their stock is constantly changing so you may find what you want at one sale and not another.  And sales are final.

Spending money is an addiction and I am truly sorry if I just gave you another place to spend money.

One Stop Online Deals for Toronto

My addiction to online deals commenced when I received an email from my favourite children's boutique, Bean Sprout, announcing that with a $25 deal purchase on Groupon I could buy $55 worth of merchandise at Bean Sprout.  That meant 55% worth of savings.  I was thrilled with the thought and took the plunge.

Groupon made its debute with the infamous Gap groupon.  With a $25 deal purchase you would receive $50 towards merchandise at Gap.  Groupon was so busy that day that the system (if you could get on) was so slow and annoying.  I don't think they expected the amount of traffic they received that day.

Since Groupon made its way to my heart I have found many other sites emerging with the same concept and found it to start becoming tiresome trying to keep up with all these websites until....

One Spout

In one email or click you get a view of all the deals in your city from all the known deal websites.  I have found some very good deals and spent a great deal of money on deals.  I did find it hard to keep up with what I bought and from which website until I started printing the bought certificates.  I do highly recommend keeping track of what you bought (either by printing or saving in a folder on your desktop, which website it was purchased from (if you did not print or save), and the expiring date (again...if you did not print or save).  You don't want these deals to become lost money. You can also set up a spreadsheet if you find it easier that way.

With all the deals one can find online why does anyone pay full price to eat out in a restaurant or on a trip to the spa.

Enjoy the deals and remember to always check the fine print before buying.
